I find these matches special. Even though, in this movie, it does not arise from the usual competition, and, admittedly, is a bit more directed, but it is these moments of mutual passion that invigorate trib for me. It takes two to trib, after all. 5/5

I was a bit surprised at the low initial rating. However I kind of understand it in the context of these sponsored matches. Whatever the formatting restrictions, these get a bit samey -- just one position (scissors with one on top), back and forth, where it seems only the girl on bottom ever comes, and almost no trash-talking (except a little up top). I think both Marlen and Nila do a great job with it, but it just feels too restricted to have the right amount of competitive energy (also from a filming perspective maybe not taking the most advantage of both womens' assets). That said, I love a Marlen match that is competitive! :D
